Tucker County, WV Tourism - Coronavirus Precautions by Jessica Waldo

Hello lovers of Tucker County,

We would like to address the current national emergency surrounding the coronavirus outbreak, and how it pertains to our destination.

As of March 24th at 8pm, the WV Governor issued a Stay-at-Home order. On March 30th the WV Governor modified his executive order to include:

Requiring out-of-state citizens to self-quarantine for 14 days upon arrival in the Mountain State and authorizing the West Virginia State Police to monitor the state roads and highways to enforce that order.

We are not encouraging any travel to the area at this time.

Please be aware of the current guidelines recommended by the Federal Government and adhere to them. At this time, restaurants are currently closed. A few are offering take out only. The local grocery store, like others, have limited supplies. Please bring as much food and supplies as possible from your residence.

Respect social distancing! Enjoy the outdoors but remain the recommended 6 feet apart and less than 10 people in a group gathering.

Please continue to wash your hands and wipe down surfaces.

These are difficult times and we want everyone to remain healthy and safe. Remember we are located in a remote area and have limited emergency services, please be prepared.
