The 20th Annual Leaf Peepers Festival is presented by the Tucker County Alpine Festival and we are celebrating the blazing colors of Autumn in this high mountain paradise! You are invited to join in on all the fun and activities September 26-28,2008 in Tucker County, WV. Join us for these activities, Annual Fall Colors Golf Tournament, the 5K “Tour of Davis” run, dog show, mountain bike race, photo contest, carnival and the ever-famous Duck Race. 26-28 Timberline's Autumn Festival

There will be free live entertainment Friday and Saturday evening. Seafood special Friday night and award winning rib specials Saturday night. Enjoy the autumn mountain scenery and all of its colors from the Timberline scenic chair lift. Chair lift is operational Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 5pm. 27 Canaan Culinary University - Mediterranean Cuisine (location tbd)

Executive Chef Nemat Odeh will conduct this class creating Mediterranean Cuisine favorites. Various entrées include salads, dips, hummus, plus stuffed squash and stuffed grape leaves. Dessert includes cheese strudel and baklava. Class participants receive their own chef hat & apron, all recipes, dining on their creations, and instruction. Price $50 per person.


27-28 Revenge of the Rattlesnake & Downhill Mountain Bike race

Timberline is proud of its newly expanded downhill biking terrain, which has been enthusiastically received by bikers this summer. The Revenge of the Rattlesnake & Downhill Mountain Bike race will be held Saturday, Sept. 27th and Sunday, Sept. 28th. The Downhill Mountain Bike Race will include a Super D and 2 run dowhhill course. Details of this event and race are still being finalized. 28-29 Personal Growth Workshop

A two day personal growth workshop led by Dr. Vaugh Michael and sponsored by Timberline Four Seasons resort and Conference Center will include coping during times of stress, daily living, personal loss, meditating and relaxing skills, personal illness and self talk. Dr. Michael is director of Pastoral Care West Virginia University Hospital, Fellow in College of Chaplins and PSIA Ski Instructor at Timberline.

4 Wild Walks Weekend

Leaf peepers - take a guided walk through the colorful Canaan Mountain between State Parks Blackwater Falls and Canaan Valley Resort. 10-12 Oktoberfest Bavarian Style Weekend Celebration.

This weekend features German food and music at the Timberline Fireside Grill and Timbers Pub. A full menu is also available. Live entertainment from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday nights. There is no cover charge. Scenic chairlift operational to the mountain summit to 4,268 feet depending on the weather. Mountain Bike Shop open daily.
