Date: June 13 begins at 7am

They (birds) are active in our woods, fields and wetlands.  Birds are flying from their winter home to their summer residence, where they begin mating and preparing to raise young.  Join volunteer Casey Rucker for a spring bird walk.  Dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking boots or shoes.  Bring binoculars, or use a pair of ours.  Carry water if desired.  Migration brings us birds that we don't find here other times of the year.  Come, learn about them.  The program is free and will last about 2-3 hours.  It is co-sponsored by the Refuge and the Friends of the 500th.
